Juggle for distance is a simple juggling exercise where players try to make it as far as they can without the ball touching the ground. It can be done with just a partner or with groups competing with one another to see which group can make it the furthest.
Essentially players partner up and each partner pair needs a ball between them. Set up a field so that there is a clear start line where the partner pairs begin.
Additionally this exercise can be done with groups of three or four rather than just partners.
The groups of players juggle amongst themselves while trying to make it to the other side of the field without the ball touching the ground. If the ball touches the ground the group has to go back to the start line before continuing. The group that manages to make it the furthest wins.
This exercise can be a great way for players to compete against themselves and try to get a new personal best every time. Juggling helps players improve their touch and control of the ball. With this in mind this can be a fun drill to incorporate into a technical warm-up.
